At present, the prestressed anchorage models and specifications commonly used in China are:

(A) M15-N anchor. M stands for anchorage (the first letter of the anchor in Chinese); 15 stands for the steel strand of dia. 15.24mm, (the steel strand generally used in China is 15.24mm steel strand with a strength of 1860MPa);- N refers to the number of steel strands to be worn.

(B) M13-N anchor. M stands for anchorage (the first letter of the anchor in Chinese); 13 stands for the steel strand of dia. 12.7mm, (the steel strand generally used in China is 12.7mm steel strand with a strength of 1860MPa);- N refers to the number of steel strands to be worn.

Common system classification of prestressed anchorages:

(1) Round multiplane anchorage. The model is expressed as YM15-N or YM13-N. This anchor has good anchoring performance and self-anchoring performance. They are generally tensioned with a multi-strand center-hole jack.

(2) Flat anchorage. The model is expressed as BM15-N or BM13-N (B is the first letter of flat anchor in Chinese). Flat anchorages are mainly used for transverse prestressing of bridge decks, hollow slabs, and low-height box girders to make the stress distribution more uniform and reasonable, and further reduce the thickness of the structure. They are generally tensioned with a mono-strand jack.

(3) Wrapped dead-end anchorages.  The model is expressed as M15P-N or M13P-N. It is suitable for the situation where the design stress of the component end cloth is large or the end space is restricted. It uses a barrel swager to compress the extrusion anchors onto the steel strands, which are pre-embedded in concrete and arranged as required. After the concrete has solidified to the design strength, it is tensioned again.
