Precautions for Use of Steel Strand

1. During the construction of the prestressed steel strand, it is forbidden to use any heating method to deform the steel strand which will reduce the performance of the prestressed steel.

2. During construction, it is forbidden to weld it, because the height of its welding point is higher than the welding point of its steel. In the process of our construction, it is easy to cause the welding point to be disconnected.

3. When cutting, a toothless saw should be used. Cutting by electric or gas welding will cause damage to the surface around the steel, and at the same time cause localized heat generation, which reduces its own performance.

4. When circulative arranging ribs on it, its bending degree should not be less than three times that of steel.

5. The steel strands that have not been packaged should be placed in a vertical position, starting from the inner ring. The drawn steel strand presents a spring-like steel strand and can be automatically straightened. The twisting direction of the drawn steel strand should be the same as that of the strand, otherwise, it will become twisted or chaotic.

6. The direction of the steel strand used in the mine is different from what we usually use, but the opposite. If it is not, it is difficult to use it with anchors.

7. The quality of the prestressed steel wire pier has nothing to do with the quality of the steel wire itself. However, it is very effective to produce steel wire under excessively high strength, but it is not very good to produce the pier.
